Special "english speaking" visit : new wood and forest museum, woodturnin show with the carpenter, and guided tour of the 1930's water-powered sawmill.
Visits are by reservation only and with our guides.
Our Wood and Forest Museum allows a good understanding of the mountains forestry and landscape. Children will find inside wood games and a secret tunnel ! Our guide will explains the life of our favoriet mountain tree : a 600-years old meleze (larch).
During the woodturning show, our carpenter creates a wooden object for the visitors, explaining all the differents tasks.
After this, you will join the old sawmill (20 minuts walking or 5 minuts by car) in the foret, and follow the visit of this very singular industry, water-powered. Our guide will cut a plank in front of your eyes !
